It’s Light Up 2013 everyone and we’re asking the community to visit the Castlegar Health Centre on Friday, December 6th from 9:00am to 3:00pm to donate all you can for much needed equipment for all health care patients in our community.
This year, we are raising money for a V.A.C. Therapy System 101. This will be used in the Emergency Department in the Castlegar & District Community Health Centre. V.A.C. Therapy is a medical device system that promotes wound healing by delivering negative pressure (a vacuum) at the wound site through a patented dressing and therapy unit creating an environment that promotes the wound healing process. This negative pressure helps draw wound edges together, helps remove fluids and infectious materials from wounds and promotes quicker healing.
