
Mission Statement: Working with the community to raise funds to assist in covering costs for equipment and services which shall continue to enhance wellness, patient care and residential care at Talarico Place and at the Castlegar & District Community Health Centre.
History: The Castlegar & District Hospital Foundation was incorporated under the Society Act of British Columbia on October 30, 1987. The Foundation is a charitable organization registered under the Income Tax Act, as such is exempt from income tax and is able to issue receipts for income tax purposes.
Foundation’s Registered BN is 88806 4938 RR0001.
The Foundation has been actively fund raising for twenty-two years.
2008 Light Up KBS Pledge Day December 5th 2008 brought in $20,000. In total
we raised $28,000. This was due to the generosity of the Castlegar Community.
We were able to purchase the trauma stretcher, heart monitor, medicine cart
and blood gas analyzer. We received donations from the Evening Rotary Club,
Heritage Credit Union, CIBC, Castlegar & District Hospital Auxiliary, Shopper's
Drug Mart and many kind donations from the people within the community. Mountain
FM sponsored our Garage Sale and M&M BQ both were held November 4th. You are
all awesome! Thank you!
